 Listening to Native American Elders: Learning about Challenges and Successes to Benefits Enrollment The National Council on Aging (NCOA), in partnership with Kauffman and Associates, Inc., is hosting a 90- minute in-person listening session to learn more about how American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) individuals experience enrolling in and using public benefit programs.

These programs include:

  • Medicare Part D Extra Help (LIS)
  • Medicare Savings Programs (MSP)
  • Medicaid Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)

We welcome participation from individuals who are eligible for Medicare (typically age 65 or older, or under 65 with a qualifying disability) and those who have helped an AI/AN family or community member enroll in one or more of these programs.

Date/Time: September 10th at 10:00-11:30 am MDT

Location: Hilton Garden Inn 1530 West Maloney Ave., Gallup, NM 87301 (Parking is available and will be validated for participants)

A $50 gift card will be provided to each Native American adult who attends and shares their experiences.
